I swear I'm going blind

I have had a prescription for glasses for a long time and as a computer programmer who works with monitors constantly, I really ought to wear them. But I hate wearing them, so I normally do without.

Today, however, I started to notice that my reading (I read an awful lot) had slowed considerably, and I have been finding it harder and harder to focus on what I'm reading. When I got home I thought I'd dig out my old glasses and see if they made a difference, or whether I was just tired. They made a hell of a difference. There's no going back, I definitely need to wear my glasses.

When I noticed the difference the glasses made to my reading, I thought about my camera: should I adjust the diopter setting? I was testing this when my wife picked up Desperaux who lives on my desk. I think I need to adjust the setting :-)

Silly out-of-focus pictures aside, it looks like I did need to adjust it, which probably explains some of my recent bizarre manual focusing issues. Unfortunately, it also means I can now no longer blame the lens
