Birthday orchid

This is the first orchid I have ever had. I got it as a birthday present a couple of weeks ago and am still very pleased with it. I am also a bit nervous of the right treatment with this, but it has not yet complained.

I was planning to take another shot of very tiny wild flowers in the park, but as it was raining almost all day and shooting those 3 cm tall flowers would require a close contact to wet earth, I decided to take a picture indoors. I wonder if I give up too easily...
