Tulip Day

Today my intended blip was a tulip at my sisters house.
I was over there to discuss where bits of furniture were going before the new overs get the keys at the begining of June (al being well).
We went out for lunch at one of the hotels in Penicuik ..... and should have gone to the other one that lost the toss. It was okay, but nothing more.

Although there was no camera club this evening due to the holiday, 4 of us headed over to Blackness on the River Forth and took some pictures of the shore until the light levels dropped and we were able to start playing with big torches which was the real reason for going.

The castle and its associated buildings are not lit up at night so we were "light painting" with searchlights. We were lucky with the sky having some decent clouds. Infact the sky was nice enough to make a subject in its own right. (this was 5 shots stitched together)
