Traffic Jam

The buses were running a Saturday Service today and I got caught out by that trying to get to work this morning. Not only were there near to no buses it was also freezing cold and therefore rather unpleasant to stand around waiting for buses.

What a change then when I got back from work and there were about five buses, one after the other nearly stuck trying to get to and from the Scott Monument on Princes Street. The blip only shows one of the buses but there were about two in front and one behind my bus. Princes Street was of course very busy with all those who like to spend money - I like to go shopping but I try to avoid the masses of Bank Holidays and weekends.

Despite the cold wind some people were sitting outside in the warm sunshine and it looks like summer might be coming after all.

My other blip today was of the tram which I passed on my journey to nursery and I honestly don't understand what all the fuzz is about. It's a tram, albeit a fairly modern one but it's just a tram AND it cannot move, immobilised by lack of electricity (and soon probably lack of funds). Actually I now remember before living in Switzerland (where there are trams in all the major cities/towns) I thought trams were very exciting. So I suppose it's the novelty factor with this tram and who knows, I may even go and visit it some day.
