Insect homes and cold paddling

Another cycle to the river, but with a bit of sun as an added bonus. The girls checked on the insect homes they'd constructed yesterday out of stones, twigs and leaves, Lily especially delighted to find an actual beastie on her collection of rocks.
Then a brief paddle in the freezing water ('Oh pleeeeease Mama, the sun's out') before heading home for soup and an afternoon film.
