Waterfalls

I had the urge to be in nature today and drove up the North Umpqua river to take photos of waterfalls. As it turns out, I began to feel under the weather, so didn't do the hikes into the ones I wanted.

But, I found this small one close to the road, and took several pictures. I loved this one with the freshly opened maple leaves.

Overall, it was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and signs of spring were everwhere. So many shades of green from the soft-looking grass covering the hills to the dark of the evergreens and ever imaginable shade in between.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite times of year!
