Banged Up

We went to the zoo in Edinburgh today.

I always feel in two minds about zoos. On one hand I recognise that if it wasn't for their presence there would be more endangered or extinct species. On the other it is sad to see some of the animals cooped up in enclosures that must feel like a prison to them. It must feel like doing time.

There was something in the expression of this Diana monkey which seemed to call out its frustration.
