Speed - Distance

There are the hiklls - to the south of town - that I want to get to. I need it to get cooler though.

I've been having a battle with the internet people, hence not been uploading due to duration. I complained last week - they said I was on a very slow speed temporary account but that they were not charging me. I asked why I was on a temp account and when I could go back to the speed I wanted to pay for. No reason given - they say will be fine last sat. Now I'm no expert on internet speed but when I can't stream the fall and upload photos at the same time I'm not getting 1MBs. And then when I can't stream utube I know something is up. So I emailed again monday am - a little rudely. They did the customer service thing and said they were invesitgating and someone would ring.

Someone did ring - today, to tell me my cheque had not been received. This left me with several rant points. 1. Why didn't they tell me that was why I was getting low speeds - then I could have remedied immed. 2, Whatr had happenned to the cheque (I made the guy hang around whilst I checked online that it had not been cashed). He assured me that there had never ever been a problem before with anyone dropping cheques in the box at the gate. Since I was on the line I decided to probe the timelines of this charade. When was my speed dropped - 10/4. When did they send the email to tell me - 10/4, thats a saturday I say, I'm looking for the email now, oh oh oh they say -- perhaps it was the 14th. Oh yes so it was I confirm. So you chopped my speed and didn't even tell me for 3 days, but even then you didn't tell me why for a further 2 weeks. It will be fixed tonight they say.

Since I wrote this on Sunday I can tell you the rest of the story now. I tried Weds - still slow, so I emailed again. Thurs they wrote to say that they never cut customers off. I wrote back and basically said that if they were going to write customer service speak they had to back it up with action, basically they think that if they write triope they can do what they like. Yesterday I measured my speed 1/2 Mbs download and 1Mbs upload so they are half way there,

Today is fine.

Hence the uploads.
