CLEMATIS IN THE RAIN
This poor plant is struggling to survive the invasion of a vigorous wild rose. (I see the rose needs hacking back again.) It's a clematis but again, do not know the variety. It looks like jackmanii but it's the wrong season and the blossoms on this plant are much bigger.
I got the rain I wished for, and it is still pouring, but little realized it would ruin plans for a jolly photograph of a sidewalk cafe. And if I had any idea that I could photograph a flower with perfect droplets of rain, as others seem able to do, I had to forget it. The rain just splatted on this flower.
And, I tried "treatments." Dark background, spot light, intense colours and in the end, straight from the camera looked the best to me.
