Tanah Lot

Today we hired a driver. In Bali you either motorbike or hire a driver which comes with a mini van and they talk you around. As driving is rather dangerous in Bali, we opted for a mini van,. Our driver Agung was really nice. He took us to Taman Ayun Temple, which would of been about one hours drive from our hotel, due to bad traffic flow. It was pretty cool, Agung told us about how Temples are made, and their uses. He told us about the Hindu in Bali religion. Which was very interesting. We then went to Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest. NEVER again! I found I have a fear of the wee human like creatures. Silly but I held mums hand the whole way around.
Finally we came to Tanah Lot, one of the most pictured temples in Indonesia, due to the temple being off the coast, right in line with the sunset. Wow was it amazing, sadly no sunset, but still really cool. Agung told us that twice a year when ceremonies are on the temple, sea snakes come out of the sea up to the temple, he coludn't explain why. Pretty freaky stuff.
