La strada meno battuta

Driving home from Lake Garda, and in no particular hurry, we decided to put our faith in the SatNav to take us "the road less travelled" - ie not the autostrada on a busy Sunday afternoon. This turned out to be a great decision as we drove alongside vineyards, olive groves and fields of cherry trees. We stopped to investigate a castle, sit in a meadow and see a wind turbine up close. Sometimes it is all about the journey!
