Check Out My Ugly Shoes
I know they are ugly, but they are comfy. Really incredibly comfy. And in fuschia pink, I like to think they are cheery.
Once walking into my GP's surgery, he exclaimed, "Wow, those shoes are really pink!"
I've never been fond of women's shoes, I bought Dr Martens as soon as I bought my own shoes and spent a lot of my childhood in riding boots or kickers.
The closest I had to proper heels were massive platforms from Schuh in the early 1990s. I sprayed them gold for the opening gala of Edinburgh Film Festival in 1996.
But life which is spent barefoot (and pregnant ;) ) these are the perfect shoes for chasing toddlers, cleaning out chickens, slipping on for the school run, the beach, the swimming pool and chucking in the washing machine a few times a week.
This pair pictured are my summer crocs, I will be retiring my fleecy lined black ones for the duration.
