those paving stones
Just popped out for a coffee after about 5 hours of 12 tone row finding... and remembered to take a photo of the paving stones I saw yesterday and wanted to photo but didn't have camera. I like how the patterns intersperse... one minute you're looking along a curve, and then you realise the stone you're looking at is more important in the other curve. I could come up with analogies about how this relates to my dissertation but I think it would be more effective to actually work on the dissertation. It was nice to be out for a few minutes though - I went and sat in Dunbar's Close Garden for 5 minutes, just having a little breather and taking some photos of a snail :) Fresh air and a rest for the eyes, very important!
6 days to go! :D
Can't wait to finish everything... and then spend time knitting, listening to Ray Charles and dancing around my room, going to the cinema, reading novels, learning italian, going to the pub on a sunny afternoon and not feeling guilty for it! I'm fairly sure I will do more studying at some point - I would like to study the rest of Sibelius' symphonies, and I want to do my LRSM on piano, and I'll probably end up doing some management/marketing/etc training too, and I want to learn first aid and to drive - but it's nice to know I don't have to for as long as I want.
