Having stayed up all night to get to the airport for a 5am check in, we flew to Malé, capital of the Maldives.

From there, it was but a short trip in a power boat to the beautiful island of Velassaru in South Malé Atoll, where we will be relaxing in glorious comfort for the next six days.
