My First Flower!

I started a forum thread about flower photography here. I was given some inspiration, some humour and the philosophical question, "What is the point of photographing anything?", which I am still thinking about.

I had to have a go and now I feel like blipping flowers for a day or two.

The danger is that I may need to buy a very expensive macro lens for my DSLR. Oh dear!

What have I started!

PS. Is that centre bit of the tulip a stamen, by any chance?
