My NCT class teacher invited us to meet her current class - the idea was that all the parents would see how you go from complete novice to comfortable and confident novice in just a few weeks. However, my overriding memory of the evening is the following conversation:

Mum to be: How much does she weigh
Me: We weighed in at 8lb 7oz today
Mum to be: 8lb 7oz? But she's HUGE! I've been told I'm GIVING BIRTH to an 8lb 7oz baby.

(Mum to be goes ashen and quiet)
