My artist son joined us on Sunday to celebrate his niece's birthday and say goodbye as he is leaving to move to texas tomorrow.
He brought my younger daughter "the alien" - a piece of sculpture they watched him create at the Orange County Fair last summer.
and he brought older sister and his favorite mother these beautiful vases.

It was hard being separated by 1000 miles. I could only see him every six months or so. now he's moving to Texas. oh, well, it's a second chance for him to get on his feet again. This stinking economy has taken its toll on the younger generation. when the experienced tradesmen are out of work, the newly certified don't have a chance to become employed in what they have finally been trained to do.
