THE SANDWICH TERN

Even with the 300mm lens this is as near as I could get. The SandwichTern are very rare in Ireland, you can always tell them by the yellow tip on the bill. They were diving for sand eels just off beach. There must be a big change coming in the weather, besides these visitors I also spotted a flock of Gannets way out to sea and they turn up just before a storm hits the coast .
