Rare Malts

These are very unique bottles of malt whisky, in fact they will be only ones of their type ever produced, because I made them myself 9 months ago.

I've been bottling off from the cask at intervals since then, and you can see the effects of ageing, though on the RH bottle it's exagerrated because I haven't taken the old label off yet. These are bottlings from 2, 5 and 8 months reading L to R. If that sounds a bit rapid, it's because of the miniaturisation of the process: the stills used were small, and the sherry cask was also small at 4 litres, so the maturation is accelerated.

The 2 month, it has to be said, is a bit rough, but it's remarkable how it has mellowed out since. The recent stuff is good!
