Expsenses

So far in this election I've had my letterbox defiled twice by the fascist BNP and UKIP with their 21st century take on the retro 70's "Pakis out".I've had the Tories promising "change" (hey it worked for that American boy) but you couldn't, could you? I mean The Tories, I was there, I saw them in action the last time. Then there is Labour; our local man was the man who defended the indefensible even when Labour ministers were under rocks. Even when it became clear that the Iraq invasion was the most illegal war since god knows when, there was Eric defending it to the hilt. ID card's... aye Eric's on Newsnight defending them, Scots MP's voting on English issues...aye wheel out Eric. Sorry Eric, it's time to bolt mate.... your incredible expenses claims not withstanding. The Nationalists..... well if you are going to criticise the expenses of MPs' learn to spell the bloody word. The local Lib Dems are AWOL so far, but I expect much of the same as the rest except the fascism and with good spelling.

The other thing that has got to me in this campaign is that the Westminster candidates haven't quite cottoned on to the new reality in Scotland. The staple diet for politicians of health care, education and law and order have nothing to do with Westminster and ultimately one of them as the local MP, it's a devolved matter to the Scottish Parliament... but still they throw out the same old tired lines on the the same bread and butter issues.

Nobody wants to talk about how the banks and the governments have screwed us all for a generation and why our men are dying in a bullshit war.
