Vredefort Dome, world heritage site

On the day after the wedding, we had a family day on a farm, about 40 kms outside of Potchefstroom on the Parys road. The bride and groom were also present - we had braaivleis (barbeque) - what more can be desired?

The farm is situated on a World Heritage Site, known as the Vredefort Dome; no words will do any justice to describe the beauty of this place!

The farm is currently being developed where a few chalets/conference facilities are being erected and put into place .... it has a beautiful. natural dam fed by a river, with wild and indigenous vegetation clustering the banks - boating, kayaking and fishing will be a natural activity to the visitor ...
However, when entering from the main road - there was a notice about 4X4 driving ...
So many possibilities.

We had a wonderful day with Helene's family and wish to thank them for their hospitality.
