Christchurch Art Gallery

Assignment time again.

The Christchurch Art Gallery was built in 2001 at a cost of $31,165,209 NZ. It's quite the focal point for tourists and locals alike.

It was opened while I was back in the UK for eighteen months, and this photo is as close as I've got to it.

Terrible really, I've been back in New Zealand for three years (yesterday), my parents went in when they visited. Various visiting friends have been inside, and it's free. I really must go in some day.

So this is one of those local landmarks (probably the newest) that I take for granted. I guess I think it will always be there so what's the hurry?
