coming home

at the risk of sounding trite and pretentious, I am fascinated with power lines. There is something about the way they line highways, the reassurance that after the same distance there will be another power line tower identical to the one that came before it. Or maybe it's my inability to understand how power can travel over these lines, and the inability to understand how anyone was able to discover how to harness it in the first place.

This was taken on the highway back from Ain Sokhna to Cairo.
