Moana

This morning there was a break in the rain so we headed down to the lake to find a rarely seen bird a Bittern, which was nowhere to be seen at first, but then there was a call from a spotter and we got a good veiw of it feeding along the waters edge.

My blip today is the rail station that is in the middle of Moana.

Later we went into the bush again on another fungi hunt, and came out several hours later drenched once again!!

We then had to high-tail it back to Christchurch to pick up Larri from the airport, the journey back was bad as the rain was so heavy, the rivers were rageing down the mountains.
