Lone Pine

I got to visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary today. I've wanted to come here for years, and wasn't able to visit the last two times I've been to Australia. This time, I wasn't taking no for an answer.

We held koalas, fed kangaroos, checked out a platypus, and observed a ton of other Australian animals.

This Kookaburra was one of the first animals we got to visit. Not only was this bird a great subject, but Kookaburras are 1) carnivorous and 2) their call sounds like human laughter. This guy's my bud.
