Tiger's Nest
Also known as Taktsang, this temple perched on the cliff face is probably the most famous icon of Bhutan. It's also one of the most sacred places in the country. The founder of Himalayan Buddhism, Guru Padmasambhava, flew there on the back of a tiger and meditated in a cave. The cave is sealed off now and only opened once a year and the holy water that seeps off the rocks is distributed to the crowds that gather. The temple burned down a few years ago and this is the renovated version. Photos were not allowed inside :-(

The hike up takes almost 2 hours and as you can see, we had a beautiful sunny day for the walk. It was much better than the snowstorm we got caught in yesterday.
