Zorge memorial.

This rather eerie chap is in Zorge park, not far from where we live. The memorial comemorates an Azerbaijani Soviet spy from World War II who was caught and executed by the Japanese. As large swathes of Baku undergo... I hesitate to say restoration... beautification which seems to involve replacing the old with new, I'm glad that Zorge has survived the transformation of the park that surrounds him. His eyes glow orange at night - really very spooky - perhaps I'll catch that sometime for a later blip.
