Distortion
These are the bubbles that caused the mishap yesterday, not this one but this one's cousin. It's all in there, the windows that wrap around three sides of the porch and me...although I'm disappointed at how the spherical distortion shortened my tall, lithe, Avatar-like frame*.
On the subject of the movie Avatar, I'd like to say that what I enjoyed the most was the mesmerizing, fantasy animation-the gossamer glowing forest groundcovers that lit up when treaded on, the live fronds of the forest fauna, the floaty seeds of the trees, the incredible facial expressions, the thought that all living things are connected. What I enjoyed less was how the storyline reminded me of the shameful treatment of indigenous cultures by greedy, European colonizers all over the world, throughout history...especially Native Americans. We all know that none of those stories had a 'happy' ending like the movie did. Also, James Cameron wants us to BUY the DVD with the "making of" features. Hmpff, he knows where he can stuff that.
On a lighter note: I love computer games-it's no secret- and yes, they can take over your schedule, like this pain in the neck cube game that stumped me at level 7 of 30. I could have straightened the camera in this short demo, I know.
