If I had a hammer.......

Tonight we held a Promise Auction in our Village Hall to raise much needed funds.

Some of the 'promises' included a 3 months supply of our hens eggs, a chauffeur driven car trip to our nearest town, a guitar lesson, firewood, quad biking, champagne, case of wine etc etc.

Our auctioneer Lachie (seen above) was hilarious and did a wonderful job helping us part with our money.
He had brought his wee boy's yellow plastic hammer to act as a gavel

We raised £2110!!!!Yes..........two thousand,one hundred and ten pounds!!!!
Now we can repair the roof and pay our other bills.
Woo Hoo!

This is my last year as Chair and I am happy to stand down leaving the Committee with a healthy bank balance.
