There is a bit of a difficulty in taking photos on a drill-floor: It's not really allowed. You need lots of permitry, signed off by the company man, QHSE bods, high brass and the like. You aren't really allowed mobile phones either...buuut, I didn't let that stop me. It is a lot easier to take some covert pictures with my blackberry.

I did speak to the company man though, and I will take some more covert pictures in the morning with my proper camera.

This is one of the control panels in the Dog-House (where the driller sits and does his business), I love the old school, solid construction of it. This was built to last the rough-and-tumble of constant drilling.
