Twin Peaks flowers

I haven't identified these tall floweirng stalks as yet, but they are all over the Bay Area right now. They grow in profusion at the start of the trail I take to Twin Peaks. attracting bees and birds. I spent a frustrating lunch break trying to photograph a hummingbird flitting around the flowers, but I was too slow. Maybe next week...
