a disinclination to activity or exertion despite h

I've been trying to read this book for the past 6 weeks - it's for book club and I have one week left in which to finish it - and I've made it as far as page 88.

Not looking good is it.

In the time I have taken to read to page 88, I *have* started and finished another dozen books, so maybe not completely slothful - but this one is defeating me.

Perhaps this says more about my attitude to being told what to do ;)
