Small World

It was my husband's birthday today. I racked my brains and couldn't think of a perfect (affordable) present so thought I'd take a picture of one of his favourite spring sights as a make up gesture.

These tiny vibrant blue flowers spread out for a very brief time in early spring amid grass and under trees. As I was trying to get the perfect shot, I saw this ant resting, almost invisible unless you were inches away.

Since we share a love of nature this seemed like an appropriate (and affordable) gift!

We did go out for a fine Indian meal and watched the Glee Madonna episode so it was a lovely evening. And now to sleep.
