prawn cocktail crisps!!!!

beloved best friend shona, who now lives in the states, is over in the homeland for a brief trip and has come to visit! so long since we've had time together, and even longer since she was in edinburgh, so we're rather excited. a swift sarnie and a bag of crisps for lunch in the park pre driving to see our other beloived pal, bruce (see tomorrow's entry) sparks more interest (and excitement, tho that pic was deeply unflattering) than i'd bargained for - but then, america doesn't do crisps properly, so a bag of prawn cocktail probly is quite exciting :-)

we finally make bruce's late afternoon and get the grand tour of the manse and the church, and generally admire our boy's kirk minister life! so terribly grown up and responsible and rather scary really. then it's dinner and wine and cramming the last ten years (since we were last in a room together, now that's bad!!) into a few hours. so much fun, and ridiculous we don't get to do this every week, which is about how often i could use this energy burst!
