One of my Neighbours
I saw this deer while I was out with the hounds this evening. We were only about 200 yards from my front door and thankfully, the mutts detected her scent before she smelled us, so I was able to get quite close. She is beautifully camouflaged apart from her white backside, which is what I mostly see of these deer.
There are a large number of Roe Deer in the woods around here. Most of the time, they will slip into the trees un-noticed although sometimes we will disturb them, which gets the hounds all excited as the deer run off.
The downside is that they do spread ticks and I have to check the dogs frequently as they are regular tick magnets and I've found three this week already!
