More industrial desolation

This is all that remains of Ballantine's whiskey in the town.
A new bottling hall was built outside the town a few years ago and on this site around 2000 souls worked now there are only I think about 700.
The town of Dumbarton has been like this since Denny shipbuilders closed the week I left school , and I am 62.
All the talk on the news over the past 2 years is of towns decimated by the recession.
Our town has been like that for almost 50 years
In fact I had a spell when I was with 4 different engineering companies in a year and they all closed down and that was in the 70s
