First flower

I walked up to our guest house today and was surprised by two plants that had small purple flowers on them that have started to bloom. A few years ago, we planted some bulbs from my moms yard and last year they didn't come up. She has been gone for 5 years and this was such a nice way to let me know, she is still with us. She loved all her different flowers and could name every one of them. I did not get that trait from her and I have no clue what kind of flower this is but that is okay because I think of her when I see it.
