All ready for the celebrations !

Just finished wrapping Harveys presents. This is just 'some' of what he has. Goodness knows were its all going to go but am sure we can squash it in somewhere. I cant wait for him to open them all and celebrate his special day !

THIS TIME LAST, YEAR: I was sat in a hotel room (located at the hospital) on my own having just kissed goodbye to Lee ( my partner ) as he went off for his operation for a kidney transplant. I was fed up of being pregnant and 4 days overdue ! Why was i doing this you might ask? I will start the story at the begining........

Lee had kidney failure and was on dialysis 3 times per week. On the transplant list for just over a year. On the 20th April 2009 i was at home wondering when i was going to have this baby that didnt want to turn up on time and the phone rang. It was the hospital wanting to speak to Lee. I could tell by thier desperation to get hold of him it was someyhing serious. They had a kidney for him and wanted him to get to the hospital straight away. He was at work, they eventually got hold of him and he came home. We threw his bags and mine in the car and rushed to the hospital. We spent the whole day thier while he had tests etc and i was panicking as i knew he wouldnt make the birth. I text Lee's sister and asked if she would be my birth partner, which looking back was a pretty big thing to ask and she agreed (thank god) i told her i would keep her posted but was sure the baby would be staying in thier for a while yet. Lee went down for his op at around this time (10.30pm) i was put up in the hospital hotel which is located on the top floor of the maternity wing. They were concerned about me driving home on my own as the hospital is so far away from were we live. Its normally reserved for tired Dads and relatives of patients who can't get home. At around midnight i felt this pop and i jumped up out the bed. My waters had gone. I called for a midwife who examined me and said to try and get some sleep and they would induce me in the morning if nothing had happened. So thier i was, on my own, in a hotel room, partner under the knife in the operating theatre and baby on the way........
