Okie Tulips
It is rather surprising how well tulips seem to do here. In this dying town where the weather beats most things into the ground, tulips flourish. Mostly they are the red or yellow variety, but along the back side of an abandoned garage I found this line of purple beauties. I rather liked the contrast of the ancient wood behind them.
The weather has been incredibly Irish, cool, misty and rainy, the farmers are happy but I had hoped to develop an early season tan to take back with me to West Cork - if we ever get home! First available flight home is next Tuesday........
