Is officially The Cup & Ball Trick.

There are images on the walls of the Great Pyramid depicting this illusion, which is still in my repertoire today.

Many of my gags pre-date the Egyptian era.

Here is an old brass cup I use for this trick. The knitted ball is newer. The orange... newer still!
