Monica and Tully!

What a mixed weather day we've had. Hailstones and sunshine and volcanic ash high up in the stratosphere!

Our dearest friend Monica visited us today with her feisty little border terrier called Tully, named after her birth place, Airntully.
Megan and Tully adore each others company almost as much as Monica and I do!

We had a leisurely walk around the river laughing, talking and enjoying each others company.
Sadly Bill is unable to walk with us these days, and I have walked alone, ( with Megan) for nearly two years, missing his company acutely.
For nearly 25 years he has walked various dogs around the river and up into the woods but chronic pain prevents him these days.
I resist telling him of all the wonderful sights I see as I can imagine it will feel such a loss to him.

Right now the wood anemones and celandines are blossoming and early little shoots of wild garlic are emerging in the woods. Bill makes the BEST wild garlic soup!

In fact Bill makes the BEST soup full stop!!
Still feeling romantic from yesterday's blip of our wedding anniversary!
