Great Crested Newt

This is a female great crested newt. They are very rare and a protected species here in the UK.

Cromhall Dive Centre is one of the places where this newt lives.

We were lucky enough to spot a few of these newts in the shallows here in the quarry.

Another busy, very productive and fun day!

So the next leg of my journey is to drive to London. My friend Andy lives in west London and he has very kindly let me follow him home and leave my car at his house until Tuesday.

I travelled into central London on the train and I am staying in a Travelodge just next to Marylebone station for the next 2 nights.
