Mud

We went to our tow today. The bridle retrieval wire, was broken and all the chain on the bottom. Apparently, it happened long before the barge was moored , so all the wire and chain had dragged through the mud for miles. A diver was hired to connect a new wire to the chain, but the diver could not find the triangle plate. It was deep in the mud. He connected the wire to the first link sticking out of the mud. After we started heaving, the winch could hardly pull all this weight, but after a lot of muddy work, we finally managed to get the triangle plate above the water and stop everything off. Hopefully the harbourtugs will arrive tomorrow in time and deliver the barge at our location after daybreak.
