Nearly Home

Friends of mine were on holiday in Barcelona when flights to/from/within British airspace were stopped because of the vocano erupting in Iceland.

After a few problems they managed to hire a minibus along with another 2 couples and drive to Calais.

There, they met a couple of Polish coach drivers and got into conversation with them (one of my friends is Polish). It turned out they were taking a kids football team back to Bathgate - after having been stranded.

Yes - there was space for two more.

I was able to collect them from Bathgate and drive them to Prestwick Airportto collect their car (which of course cost a small fortune for overrunning their intended stay by a couple of days).

So then it was left to them to drive home to Stirling.


I almost forgot ........... despite the lovely sun - there was a gritter gritting near the airport
