Marsh Marigold

The beautiful, brightly coloured blossoms of the Marsh Marigold (Caltha palustris) were a welcome sight this morning.

Morning mist was hanging heavily over the lakes and ditches, and frost was in the air. After 1/2 hour, I was longing for my gloves!

The little yellow flowers seemed almost like small suns to me.
