Final farewell

With a few hours to kill after stuffing my face with chocolate yesterday I popped into the fine art library for a browse. I spotted a book on flowers by Irving Penn. It said that he liked to photograph flowers which were past their perfect stage.

This made me look more closely at the tulips that I was given a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that the colours had intensified and the textures were amazing. I tried to capture this in a photoshoot this afternoon.
