Gulls on Owhiro Bay

Taking a break to blip these gulls on the beach in Owhiro Bay (that's the Kaikouras in the distance) was a welcome relief from a day of detailed proof-reading and editing academic journal articles.

It's an exasperating but necessary task...a bit like counting each individual gull in the shot and making notes as to whether their beaks are pointing in the right direction.
