Loneliness and Sky

We have been here a week and I am ready to head back to the hills and greenery of West Cork, however I shall miss the sky here. It is so immediate and all encompassing; they say Oklahoma is where the sky wraps around you which is what it feels like. It must have been so awe inspiring to be on the wagon trails and to constantly watch the endless line between the plains and the sky.

There was a threat of rain, but unfortunately only a threat, no more than a few drops fell.

Funny to be writing that, no doubt next week I shall be lamenting the threat of sunshine!
