Elvis has left the Building.

Today was a trip out to Birmingham Children's Hospital for Charlotte's annual visit. Prior to going, we discussed Elvis again and I basically insisted that Michael buy it for his birthday. I'm still trying to figure out how he worked that conversation - but hey ho.

We went on a little shopping trip on the way to picking up Elvis before Charlotte's appointments (yes, it's a clinic so we get to see several different people on one day). Charlotte and I now have new, funky sneakers which I'm sure will be seen soon enough here. As soon as we arrived at the store to buy Elvis, I lost it. I couldn't catch my breathe for laughing so hard. It was so much bigger than I remembered. Then the size of the box ... I couldn't help myself. Of course, being the loving supportive wife that I am, I walked away from Michael and took pictures of him LOL! Not only that, I managed to take pictures of Michael (and Elvis of course) walking through the Bull Ring, through Birmingham, into the hospital then back to the Metro, through Wolverhampton until we finally got home tonight. It was the funniest thing to watch - you'll just have to trust me on this. The fact that the box was huge was funny in itself, but the fact that some smart-ass kid wrote Elivs 'has left the building' on the side made it 3 times as funny (for me anyway).

The appointments went well. Charlotte was able to have questions answered that have been bothering her that Michael and I couldn't answer. Things are moving forward and upwards and in a few months, things will be happening. It's all good and positive and we're ever so proud of Charlotte.

Tonight is all about Elvis. Oh and packing. But the Elvis is the fun part.
