Two Years

Two years ago tomorrow, Fergus came to live with us. He has been such an interesting experience. Since my cats are my only children, I often wonder if this is what it's like to have a second child. Your life is great and fine with just the one and you can't imagine it any differently...you love them. Then the second one comes and changes everything. You still love the first, and you love the new one too, but nothing will ever be the way it was before and that still feels like an irreversible change. Still, eventually, you can't imagine life without the second and you wouldn't change it back if you could.
